Manchester Street, how apt. Two Thumb is a twenty minute walk north of Christchurch‘s city centre. Having visited Two Thumb in Nelson, believing those premises were the brewery, finally, the source.
April 20, the day of the Fresh Hop Festival, Two Thumb was busy with the outside bar serving a different range from the inside. As is the way in this period of Hector’s life, a juicy NEIPA is what was hoped for, although that term is not commonly used in New Zealand. The Fresh Hop Waimea Hazy was the only Two Thumb Bier – in the style.
Service was efficient, and we got to worship – the hop. We didn’t stay long.
