Located on the west bank of Das Rhein in Düsseldorf, Alter Bahnhof is a ten minute U Bahn (tram) ride across the river.
Opened in 2011, the Bier brewed in the premises is Gulasch Alt. Had they opened a few years later, one wonders if they would have stuck to the tradition of brewing Altbier? At 4.6%, a lesser abv than its contemporaries, this is still a fine example of the genre.
There is a large outdoor seating area which complements the Bierhaus and restaurant. The menu features traditional Deutsche Essen.
