Piazza Efisio e Pasqualae Tola – Sassari

Piazza Tola, in the heart of the old town of Sassari, has had many names through the ages.  The elongated version of the name commemorates two Sardinian noblemen, one of whom met with a sticky end.

In medieval times, this was the market square. In the twenty first century, Piazza Tola is where families gather of a summer evening.  There are numerous bars and restaurants around the perimeter, check Birroteca Benevà (Beer8) and especially BNO – Birreria di Nord Ovest directly opposite.

On one of the four nights spent in Sassari in July 2019, Reservoir Dogs was shown in English with Italian subtitles, just as well, on a large screen in the middle of the Piazza.
