Located in the heart of Düsseldorf’s Altstadt, Schlüssel has tended to be visited after Uerige, traditionally, they stayed open the extra hour. The Altbier served at Schlüssel is 5.0% which is a tad above their rivals. Rather frustratingly, for many years, the Bier at Schlüssel was not served under gravity. In recent years this would appear to have been addressed when the layout was altered to create the large standing area down the right as one enters.
