Stone Brewing Taproom – Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg)

Prenzlauer Berg is a playground in the north of Berlin which Hector only discovered after the former Stone brewing plant at Im Marienpark (south of Tempelhof) was sold to a rival. Stone Bier (Esconido, California, USA)Deutschland moved their brewing to Spandau in the west of the city before calling an end to brewing in Europe. In September 2020, this venue became Manifest Taproom.

Tasting notes have long been published in this Blog – Go to IPA – remains Hector’s favourite Stone Bier despite the modest 4.7% abv.

The Taproom in Prenzlauer Berg was a much more intimate venue compared to the Bier-Disneyland which once was. Chaps serving at the bar were happy to chat, else one could grab a settee at the entrance and watch the world go by.

Wednesday was CAN day, no, not the music of the best band in the world, but drink any can at takeaway prices.

Snacks were also served.
