Opened in the summer of 2024, such is the demand for Bier from München’s finest brewery – Augustiner, a second franchise has opened near Alexanderplatz. This complements Augustiner an Gendarmenmarkt and the nearby Hofbräu Wirtshaus.
Let’s face it, Ost Deutsch Helles Bier is not up to much. Berliner Weisse is a poor man’s Lambic. For those wishing a change from Berlin’s burgeoning Craft Beer scene, there can be no surprise that Bayerische Bier is in demand.
Augustiner auf Bötzow has an extensive Biergarten with a southerly aspect. The Bierhaus is comparable in size to Augustiner an Gendarmenmarkt. The food menu is standard Bierhalle.
First visited in October 2024 whilst Munchen’s Oktoberfest was still underway, the six o’clock bell declared the tapping of a Holzfass of Oktoberfestbier. One assumes, Edelstoff would otherwise be available.
