Located under the railway arches adjacent to Hackesher Markt S-Bahn station, Lemke is hard to miss. The premises are spacious with a garden to the rear. The venue can feel a bit dingy at times.
Brauerei Lemke was established in 1999, the first of the new wave of Hausbrauerei which sprung up across Berlin. Lemke now call themselves the first of the Craft Breweries in Berlin, if so, this passed me by for many a year. In the October 2022 trip to Berlin Brian, Mein Host at Bräugier, suggested we meet up there to survey the scene.
