Located a few minutes walk north of Ostkreuz, this microbrewery and pub is quite different from the norm. One has to squeeze oneself in and around the brewing plant to find a seat, or spot at which to stand.
Nudnik had to be sampled, one of the handful of Evrit/Hebrew words known to Hector. Whilst this went down well, once the Hommelsap was reached, we had a winner. A truly outstanding lactose tasting Bier yet they call it Oat-Wheat Bier. This was the Bier of the day on Visit #1 and hopefully will be available, or something close on future visits.
Hazy IPA
Doesn’t taste as named, far from “obnoxious” – fruity hops: Deutscher Amarillo, Citra.
Grünhopfen Amarillo 6.0%
Wet Hop IPA
Yellow, clear, after Nudnik this did not impress.
NB 30 IPA 6.6%
Yellow, slight haze, ok hop flavours, nothing to become excited about.
Hafer-Weizen IPA
Weizen
Aye right.
This was NEIPA in disguise, full on milkshake, lactose flavours, stunning. Motueka, Amarillo, Citra hops.
Bring it on!
DDH IPA
Yellow, hazy, a hop hit.
The correct flavours, no lactose, feels thin.

Walbeeren ale – Sour
This was seriously sour, despite the thin body, an excellent experience.
