This was not a particularly outstanding Bier. I was intrigued at the time by the light shining though.
Hell 0.5l VF
This Helles was slightly unfiltered and had a good sharp hoppy taste.
Dunkles 0.5l VF
This was a fine Bier but the Helles was winning so far.
Maibock 0.5l VF
This is a Bock! The Orange-Brown colour was distinctive. The Bier tasted sweet at first but this gave way to something thick and chewy.
I recorded that I could definitely drink more of this, unfortunately by the time I got around to it the end of the evening was nigh.
The food (2004) was also outstanding. The Chef’s Special Pork: Försterteller comprised of half a plate of Schweinesteak, covered in gammon, mushrooms, cheese, accompanied on the side by Bratkartoffeln.
I have recommended Brauhaus Zwiebel over the years but there have been few takers.
A trip to take the Maibock would be in order. The Onion Brewery and The Dambusters, what more could the Chaps desire?
