One cannot beat having a Bier at Source, such has been the philosophy long before Bier-Traveller was conceived, this could well be the finest example, by definition. Housed in a section of a former factory, La Source Beer co. is an excellent addition to the Brussel Bier scene. Take the train to Thurn en Taxis, or Metro Line 6 to Pannenhuis and make down the short walk to the unit.
Brasseri de la Senne is nearby, but why would you?
Brasserie de l’Ermitage has been a long term favourite among the new Craft brewers in Brussel, one visit to La Source and this became #1.
The staff were most welcoming, the layout spacious in the extreme, and plenty of distractions for the weans. They even played music by CAN, in addition to other interesting bands. No (c)rap here.
Snacks are also served in addition to soft drinks and wine.
Starting gently then working through the hoppy Biers, each appeared to be better than its predecessor.
Rainette 5.4%

Yellow, with a slight haze, this had in instant blast of hops:

This has full milkshake haze was in the New England style, and a hop blast to match.
There was absolutely nothing here not to like, no nasty aftertaste.

The complete New England experience.
The milkshake haze was complemented by the full body.
The right hops, a magnificent blend:
El Dorado, Cryo Citra and Motueka.
Dangerously quaffable.
