Poechenellekelder – Rue du Chêne 5, 1000 Brussel
Everyone who has been to Brussel has stood outside Poechenellekelder, knowingly or otherwise. Follow signs for the Mannekin Pis and you’re there.
The decor of this long established bar is cluttered, even for Belgium. The lengthy list of bottled Belgian Bier List should provide something for everyone.
For reasons unknown, the Hector has always started with a Rodenbach, Classic (5.2%) or Grand Cru (6.0%) when available. Depending on the length of the stay, hops usually attract thereafter.
This is a bar with Bier and character.
The facilities are downstairs where lies another room. This room I have never seen occupied.
