For a Scot, Yorkshire feels closest to home of all the English counties. That it is also home to many of Hector’s favourite ales is not therefor a coincidence.
Since the Friday night German flight option has died somewhat, we find ourselves visiting England with increasing regularity. Mr O’Leary does not wish to give us £0.02 return flights to Deutschland these days, it appears. Getting here is a painfully slow process given that our German jaunts take less travelling time. If only the train companies in the UK would introduce something akin to the Schoeneswochenende Ticket.
In time there will be a page for all these wonderful locations.
