Shears Inn – 1 Paris Gates, Halifax, HX3 9EZ
Located on the banks of the Hebble Brook at the foot of a cobbled street leading down from the Holdsworth Mill in South Halifax, lies the long established Shears Inn. This Traditional English Pub sells Traditional English Ales, Timothy Taylor (Keighley, Yorkshire) being the usual range.
In addition to the Real Ale is the potential to enjoy Good Food. The Blackboard lists an array of enticing Starters which one could order as Snacks, if a Main Meal is not required. It was the Menu which brought Hector back to stay with Marg in April 2017.
The room was comfortable, the only annoyance was voices coming from the Bar early morning.
Possibly the best Pub in Halifax – The Cross Keys, Siddal, is metres away, it is worth stopping off at Shears Inn to eat en route.
