This is a sixteenth century Moghul Mausoleum set in impressive walled gardens with water channels. Other Tombs cohabit this large site. The Mausoleum was built by the Emperor Akbar after the death of his father – Hamayun. This building became the Architectural Model for many to follow in the Indian Subcontinent, The Taj Mahal being the most famous.
In the same complex is Isa Khan’s Garden Tomb a nobleman in the court of Shen Shan Suri, whom we all remember.
