Bir & Fud – Via Benedetta, 23, 00153 Roma
Bir & Fud is located at the northern extremity of Trastevere, metres from the Tiber/Tevere and directly opposite Ma Che Siete Venuti A Fà which has the same owner.
The long multi-tap bar leads through to the dining area at the rear. Bier and Food are both served in the small enclosed al fresco area at the front of the premises. Over the years Hector has enjoyed both here.
Introducing Bier-Traveller to the staff in 2016, they were gobsmacked that I had been to Starbess Birrificio (Roma) back in the day and had also met the brewer/owner of Birrificio Lambrate (Milano). The photos of us behind the bar were a consequence of this, and a couple of t-shirts came our way, thank you.
Birra enjoyed at Bir & Fud over the years:
Led’s Hop (Pogue Mahone, Italia) 7.0%
IPA Light gold, wiht a slight haze, this was a – gosh – moment, a truly stunning hoppy Bier.
Sunny Side East Side, Latina, Lazio, Italia) 7.0%
Blond, pale and hoppy, as recommended by staff.

APA Very dry, with a decent sense of US hops.

Bir & Fud serve Pizza. Hector finds Italian Pizza to be too thin, wet and typically undercooked. The photo of the before reflects the mood of anticipation. This Pizza was the exception, I actually congratulated the Pizza Chef on serving me the first Pizza that I have ever enjoyed in Italia.
