Sardegna was visited by Hector and Marg in the summer of 2019 as part of the Corsica-Sardinia-Berlin trip. Well, there are no direct flights from Sardegna to Scotland.
We arrived in the north of the island at Santa Teresa Gallura from Bonifacio (La Corse) and took the bus, eventually to Olbia. Santa Teresa Gallura was basically closed. There was a later boat from Porto-Vecchio direct to Olbia which arrived @21.00, that felt like a wasted day. Why are there no summer ferries from Bastia/Ajaccio to Sardegna?
Two nights spent in Olbia were enough, flights were booked to Berlin from Cagliari after ten days in Sardegna.
The choice of the third place to visit was almost random, then Sassari kept popping up. The four nights in Sassari were by far the highlight of the Italian leg of our trip.
The Bier establishments are covered in the usual manner. With no Curry Houses in Corsica, Hector was relieved to find the Curry in Sardegna to be up to a decent standard, and at times excellent.
