Abetone Music Bar – Viale Italia, 1, 07100 Sassari SS
Abetone is located south of the old town in Sassari across from Giardini Pubblici. Visited in July 2019, Abetone was directly beneath our tenth floor apartment so that is how it was first encountered. This was where the first Bier in Sassari was enjoyed and the last. The AIPA from the local Marduk Brewery was the perfect welcome to Sassari. I tended to alternate between this and Löwenbräu Helles (München, Bayern).
The young lady serving in the afternoons soon got to know that Marg would like her coffee as hot as they could make it. Abetone was always quiet in the afternoons, busier by the time we would go out for an evening, and jumping late at night. By the final evening we had been introduced to the manager/owner.
American IPA (Birrificio Agricolo di Sardegna, Marduk Brewery) 6.0% 55 IBU
Dark gold, with a slight haze, this Bier has a decent hop hit, though not necessarily my favourite ones. Still, it was a full on tasting AIPA with no astringency and hit the spot each time.
