Sopot – Polska

Sopot, a Baltic seaside resort, part of the Tri-City of Gdansk-Sopot-Gydnia. The local SKM trains run frequently between the three settlements.  On my first visit, the layout appeared to be inspired by the classic UK Victorian seaside resorts with the Baltic beach chairs first seen in the flesh, as it were, in Zinnowitz (Deutschland), but a feature of Some Like it Hot.

This is a pukka town, there is something here for everyone. A small Craft Beer outlet behind the train station had gone by the return in 2020, however, two new outlets had opened, both are great additions to the town.

The main street leading down to the seafront has many bars, restaurants and cafes.

One has to pay to access the pier from where one can take boat rides at varying speeds and levels of comfort.   To the south of the pier lies the crooked house, which can also be viewed from the substantial sandy beach.  Beware of the swans swimming in the sea.
