PiwPaw Beer Heaven – Foksal 16, 00-372 Warszawa
Around 100 taps, that should be enough choice, ironically I left in October 2020 having found nothing that suited. PiwPaw, a Polish Bier chain, takes its name from the sound of a pistol as it is written in comics in these parts. The – ontap – app is always a useful guide as to what is is available in any Polish Craft Beer pub, alas the staff cannot be trusted to update it as required. On my first visit in 2017 I ended up with the wrong Bier. The lengthy bar has to be studied carefully, again the staff are too stretched out to have learned very Bier that is on. I found their outlet in Lodz to be a much better venue in terms of range of Piwo and staff helpfulness. The nearby PiwPaw Parkingowa is another story.
Stouts/Porters then Ciders usually occupy the first taps. Thereafter, one can find an array of well known breweries from Czechia, Belgium and Deutschland. The Polish breweries on offer tend not to be contemporary thus the range tends towards run of the mill Piwo. This is not a NEIPA/DIPA heaven.
For the size of bar and number of taps, there is limited seating available.
