Located in downtown Lisbon, Canil was visited twice in one day, the last of the 2020 trip. The NEIPA was prominent due to it being scored through on the board, no more until the following week. The chaps in the afternoon were very engaging, ready to talk – Bier, the brewers/managers? In the evening, the female staff were … efficient.
Thirty two taps, the largest array seen in Lisbon. Six taps were devoted to their own Bier, six were international, the remainder being Portuguese Craft Beer. Then there’s the bottle range, 100+ is claimed.
After visits in 2020, 2022, and 2023, the conclusion is – this place is not pulling its weight. Many taps, nothing special on offer. However, one may be lucky, so Canil has to be visited.

Gold, with a slight haze, the Mosaic hops did not come through particularly strongly. An – ok Bier.

American IPA, yellow with a slight haze, there was nothing else to note. Not up to muster.

Rasberry Sour, pink-ish, it was sour but at this abv it was bought as a mouthwash between other drinks, it did the job.
