It helps when you know what you’re looking for, which is one of the many reasons I take time to post these pages and photos.
Emerging from Campo Pequeno Metro station (Yellow line), I knew the Taproom was to the north-east. Finding myslef in a shopping centre it was a case of dead reckning. Eventually daylight and the yellow building was spotted. Behold, the Mean Sardine Taproom.
With twelve taps, hopefully a broad enough canvas. NEIPA is what was sought, Triton did not impress and Suprassumo was not avaiable.
If this is a brewery tap, then why not? Either change the board or change the keg. We were left to conclude the staff didn’t care, despite asking after Suprasssumo more than once.
Triton 5.0%
NEIPA
Yellow, a slight haze.
No hop hit, despite having Nelson Sauvin.
Hardly a NEIPA
Food was ordered, the usual bar fayre, though the desssert did look more interesting.
A spacious room, plenty of seats to be had.
A return visit would only be contemplated if the efficacy of the board could be ascertained.
