Musa da Bica – Calçada Salvador Correia de Sá 2A, 1200-399 Lisboa
Located metres from the bottom end of Ascensor da Bica, the funicular, Musa da Bica was presumaed to be the city Taproom for the brewery – Fábrica Musa (Rua do Açúcar 83, 1950-006 Lisboa) – which lies just south of the Vasco da Gama Bridge and the Aquarium – Oceanário de Lisboa. However, the sight of sacks of Weyermann malt suggest that brewing is taking place on site. With some fifteen taps a broad range of Bier styles are available.
The brewers have had fun with the names. Snacks are on offer.Born in the IPA 6.0%
Dark gold and hazy, this IPA was fresh tasting with a presence of citrus. It was pleasant and had no nasty aftertaste.
Wheat of The Moment 5.7%
Yellow with a slight haze, not the expected appearance for a Wheat Bier. The Bier was decidedly thin, OK, but there was not a lot happening on the palate.
This double NEIPA had to be tried. Closer to amber, it bore little resemblance to a NEIPA in appearance or flavour. It had the expected body but was far from what was hoped for.
