Located a ten minute walk downstream from the city centre en route to the World of Discoveries museum, Cask Beer – Craft Beer & Tapas Bar – may not actually serve cask. Open from 16.00 daily, 14.00 on Saturday & Sunday, Cask Beer is a standout bar in Porto.
With twelve keg taps, the diversity of sources of the Bier is testimony to the quality of fayre on offer. The range of cans is particularly impressive, Polly’s, Beak and Glasgow’s Overtone on sale in Porto, but why drink Bier brewed 2km from Hector’s House?
Beyond the bar area is a raised seating area to the rear where one can enjoy a nibble or two.
First visited in March 2022, Cask Beer had only been open a matter of weeks. A father and daughter run operation, definitely a go to bar in Porto.

No nastiest, but lacking a big hop hit.

Milkshake haze, a bit thin, quaffable.
A sense of hop presence, but no big hitters.
If Zagovor is available, then one might hope for Protokoll (Berlin) to appear also.
