Woods Polk Station – 2255 Polk St, San Francisco
Dr. Stan came up with Woods Polk Station, a tiny taproom for Woods Beer & Wine Co. (San Francisco and Oakland, USA) on Russian Hill. This was halfway back from Fisherman’s Wharf towards Tenderloin and wherever else we were headed.
With seven taps selling Woods, and minimal seating, the venue was set up for Takeaway. An oven on the counter featured locally made Empanadas, or – Pasties – if one is British. It would have been rude not to.

IPA – Unfiltered gold. The claimed citrus, peach and mango did not hit home as hard as hoped. A hop hit, but not – the big one.
