Howzit Brewing is one of a cluster of Craft Beer breweries in the industrial area to the west of Downtown Honolulu. Honolu Beerworks, Waikiki Brewing Company, Hana Koa Brewing and Aloha Beer Company are minutes apart on foot.
The unit is standard sized, a food wagon was outside as is the norm.
Howzit’s – Check Yourself Before You Nect Yourself – was the first Bier Hector sampled in Honolulu at nearby Off The Wall. This was an instant winner, thereafter confusion. Hours later at the source, Nectaron Hazy was sold as the same Bier, it wasn’t. Howzit claim Check Yourself Before You Nect Yourself is – possibly the best IPA we have ever made. Untappd say it is no more. It was 6.0% when I had it, most sources say 6.3%.
The serving chap was excellent, so good he gave a decent sample of Solar Excursion. I just about managed to get him in a photo. Cheers!
