” A Hundred Thousand Welcomes”
An appropriate greeting for what was one of the most memorable days in the 2018 trip and certainly made the decision to spend two night in Albany worthwhile.
Having had lunch here before checking out DeLuxe Brewing along the road, we were back for the rest of the night, and indeed, what a welcome. We chatted with the locals, then when the band had finished they joined us, and finally Mein Host. In terms of Bier, the “Pine Bender” was the standout. Thanks to Calapooia, Albany will never be forgotten.
IPA
Amber, dry
Cascade, Willamette, and Zeus hops
The hops were not as prominent as hoped for.

APA Dry Hop Pale
Dark gold, chill haze.
Good body, rich, this had the full on flavour of hops.

Bright Cider (Two Towns Ciderhouse, Corvallis) 6.7%
Another US seriously dry Cider to be taken seriously.
Tastes more like a Perry than a Cider.
