Corvallis marks the head of navigation on the Willamette River which joins the Columbia River to the north at Portland. However, it is assumed that the majority are not arriving by boat, therefore Corvallis’ accessibility is somewhat restricted. The Greyhound Bus stop may be preferred for long distance transport.
Corvallis is a half hour drive south-west of Albany which has the nearest train station and airport. There is an infrequent bus service between the two cities. Car/Taxi is therefore recommended. Within Corvallis itself there is a free public transit system in operation.
The attraction of Corvallis for this website is clearly the cluster of breweries in the downtown area. For Curry-Heute, the sister website, the presence of two Curry Houses also put Corvallis on the map.
