The Cross Keys – 3 Whitegate, Siddal, Halifax, HX3 9AE
Having lain empty for some years, The Cross Keys reopened in 2012. Landlord Hugh is into his Ale, the strong, pale, hoppy ones in particular. At the time of writing in 2017, Cross Keys has won POTY in two out of the last three years. Expect a warm welcome on one’s first visit, and to be recognised on the return. The Locals will engage also.
The main bar area maintains traditional English Pub décor, with a fire central in the room. The back room has been totally renovated.
There is Live Music on Saturdays.
Accommodation is available, but do not expect breakfast.
The Cross Keys is dog friendly, sadly some owners may need training.
There is an annual Beer Festival in early August each year.
