The 8a Colina brewery tap is metres off the famed 28 tram route, as is the brewery itself which was visited first in error. With ten taps a reasonable selection was available. Some of the Bier we tasted elsewhere, it is ubiquitous in the Craft Beer Bars in Lisboa.

Vila Berta  6.2%

This could be the thinnest and least – milkshake-likeNEIPA.  It had much more flavour on tap than it did in bottle (The Beer Station). Don’t write it off.

Elisa Sour  5.2%

A wonderfully sour IPA, this yellow and clear Bier lived up to its description – Sour!

Joe da Silva  5.5%

APA, gold and clear, this had body appropriate to the abv. A decent session – lager – so any real sense of being an American Pale Ale was not forthcoming.

cf Crafty Corner, Cervetica Lisboa, Cerveja Canil, Bus Terminus Market and The Beer Station for tasting notes on other Bier from Oitava Colina
