In the 2018 trip to Oregon, 10 Barrel remains one of the the standout venues. In my three visits there are two things I cannot fathom: I never went upstairs, and I didn’t try Joe (IPA, 6.9%, 70 IBU) or Slightly Overcast (NE IPA, 6.1%, 20 IBU), or maybe I did and I don’t remember. Apocalypse had me won from the first tasting, that was it, over and out. That’s three things…
IPA 67 IBU Single hop – Comet. Impressive, tasty, but didn’t have the same impact as what followed…

West Coast IPA 70 IBU Only slightly hazy, this had it all, the bitterness, a sharp taste. There was a surprising hint of astringency which was maybe due to being right on 70 IBU. This was a truly remarkable Bier, a firm favourite. I want more!
