Eugene lies on the banks of the Willamette River two and and half hours by train south of Portland. The growing of hops in the Willamette Valley has led to a proliferation of Brewpubs in the region or is that vice versa? By chance, the two day visit coincided with – Eugene Beer Week.
Staying in – Downtown – Eugene – I saw very little of the city which extends significantly to the north. There was an abundance of Bier sources within walking distance of East Broadway’s Travelodge, the chosen accommodation.
