A Fábrica is located two blocks west of Aliados Metro station, in the heart of downtown Porto, and probably just as close to Trindade. The modest exterior masks what lies within. A true brewpub, with nine taps, but only four were in operation in March 2022. Fortunately, one of the four was what the Hector seeks! The staff were welcoming, and maybe somewhat bemused, we were twice the age of the rest of the clientele. A Fábrica claim to be Porto‘s first established Craft Brewpub.
The small area at the front leads to seating beyond and a downstairs area also where lie the facilities. This must be the best differentiation of the genders ever encountered.
Milkshake IPA 6.0%
The perfect strength for a session Bier.
The required full haze featuring passion fruit and mango, though these were not pronounced.
Not sensational, but probably the best Bier found in Porto in March 2022.
