The honor of being the first location of Bier purchased in Thessaloniki 2024, went to Beer School Brew Pub. Mein Host was welcoming, we were his first customers on a Sunday evening. Marg’s requirements were taken care of. Proud of his Bier, I was offered a choice of four, seemingly brewed on the premises. The American Lager was quirky, reminiscent of a branded Spanish Radler. I assumed the abv was low, as in seriously low, but then established otherwise. I promised to return to sample the Stout. I’m glad I did. Whilst certainly drinkable, it can compete with the poorest of Biers ever experienced, certainly at source.
A lovely chap, but he can’t brew. What the – School – reference is part of, who knows, he cannot be teaching brewing, surely. Or is he the pupil?
