B.C. Before Clive
Crawley used to be a staging post en route to places abroad to avoid the Glasgow flight supplement. Then in April 1998 it became known as the place where Clive lives. In more recent times it has become a combination of staging post and end destination in its own right. There have been two mass invasions from Glasgow in recent years: Lord Clive’s wedding to Lady Maggie, and the May Bank Holiday weekend in 2010 where some of us managed to get to a Bier Festival, whilst some of us spent the day at Glasgow Airport after Mr Stelios needlessly cancelled a flight. Visits to Crawley appear to be on the increase. With Hector’s Retiral imminent, one may take up partial residency, but only if I can locate a set of drawers.
The Quality of Curry served in Crawley is well above average.
